Reg 44 Independent Visitor Service:

Our independent monthly visits provide objective oversight, robust safeguarding assurance, and comprehensive reporting, supporting children’s residential homes to maintain safe, high-quality care and full regulatory compliance.

Supervisions for Managers and Responsible Individuals:

Effective supervision is essential for strong leadership, accountability, and regulatory compliance. We provide structured, supportive supervision for Registered Managers and Responsible Individuals, helping them reflect, develop, and lead services with confidence and clarity.

We are able to complete professional supervision sessions for any member of the team working within your organisation.

Safer Recruitment Process Support:

We provide expert guidance and practical support to ensure your recruitment processes are robust, compliant, and focused on safeguarding. Our service helps organisations in children’s services, supported accommodation, and care provision recruit safely, reduce risk, and maintain regulatory compliance.

Services include, candidate screening, DBS processing, recruitment guidance, interview panel support, and best-practice implementation, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards.

Coaching and Mentoring:

Starting as a Registered Manager can be challenging, with responsibilities spanning compliance, leadership, safeguarding, and operational management. At Woodland Care Consultants, we provide personalised coaching and mentoring to empower new Registered Managers, helping them build confidence, competence, and long-term success in their roles.

We offer a full support package to mentor & coach newly appointed Deputy Managers, Registered Managers and Responsible Individuals.

Training and development services:

We deliver tailored training, coaching, and mentoring to strengthen skills, build confidence, and ensure excellence in children’s services.

Mock Fit Persons Interview:

The Fit Person Interview is a key step in Ofsted registration, and preparation is essential. Woodland Care Consultants offers specialist Mock Fit Person Interview sessions to help Responsible Individuals and prospective managers confidently demonstrate competence, leadership, and regulatory understanding.

Our service will help you to:

  • Practice in a realistic interview setting reflecting Ofsted expectations

  • Build confidence to present policies, procedures, and evidence effectively

  • Refine answers to challenging questions on safeguarding, leadership, and quality of care

Independent Visitor Service:

We provide an Independent Visitor service designed to offer children and young people in care a safe, supportive, and trusted adult outside of their usual care team. Our aim is to build meaningful relationships, promote well being, and provide a consistent source of guidance and advocacy.

Supported Accommodation Monitoring Visits:

We provide independent and professional monitoring visits to supported accommodation settings to ensure that the residents are receiving safe, high-quality, and person-centred support.

Our monitoring visits are designed to promote well being, safeguard vulnerable individuals, and provide assurance to commissioning bodies, families, and providers.

Home Set Up Plan

Consultant day rate: £500 per day, plus travel.

Initial site visit: £500 plus travel. 

Meeting to discuss requirements: £500 plus travel. 

Pre application document review: £500.

Pre Ofsted Registration Visit: £500 plus travel. 

Staff Induction Booklet and Staff Development Plan: £250.

Policy and Procedure Package: £1500. 

Managers mentoring sessions: £500 per day plus travel.

With our full registration package, we support every step, from recruiting your Responsible Individual and Registered Manager, completing policies, procedures, and business plans, to post-registration Regulation 44 visits, giving you confidence, compliance, and a smooth start.
